Everything you need to create, manage, and order comics

Browse answers by topic below. If you need a human to step in, contact us and we will help directly.

1. Getting Started

Do I need an account before I can make comics?

Yes. You need to be signed in before creating comics, and you need to verify your email before the create flow unlocks. Signup is free and only takes a minute. You can also browse the public gallery, share comics, buy merchandise, and view individual comics without an account.

What is the normal comic workflow?

Go to Create , enter a prompt, review the polished prompt, choose persona responses and punchline options, then generate and save your comic. Extra features like rerolls, manual edits, and visibility controls are available with a Pro subscription or credits.

Can I leave the Create page and come back later?

You can exit the create page at any stage and return to where you left off. Note that you need to be signed in and have a verified email. If there is some other issue preventing progress, use the contact page .

2. Comic Creation Issues

Prompt polishing looks stuck

Wait for the current sanitiser request to finish first. If you see a failure notice, retry from the prompt step. If the same failure repeats, share the approximate time and your prompt topic via Contact so support can trace the request.

Persona responses did not load or stopped midway

Refresh the page. Ask The Squad resumes from stored session state, retrying any stuck or failed actions.

Comic generation failed at the final step

It can take a while to generate the final comic, so give it a few minutes. If it still doesn't produce the comic, reload and it will retry. If failures continue, send us prompt and time information through Contact and we can inspect generation logs.

3. Rerolls and Edits

What is a reroll?

A reroll asks the system for a fresh output while keeping your current context. You can reroll persona replies and final comic generation in Pro mode. When you reroll, you will be able to choose between the original and new output to keep the best one. You can reroll as many times as you like, but keep in mind that each reroll beyond the included ones uses credits in paid mode, and free mode does not have rerolls.

What rerolls are included in paid runs?

Each paid comic includes 5 persona rerolls and 1 comic generation reroll. Extra rerolls are charged in credits.

Can free mode reroll or manually edit responses?

No. Free mode is single-shot with standardised controls. Rerolls and manual response/punchline edits are Pro features.

4. Input Polishing

What does input polishing do?

It makes sure the input is prepared for its intended purpose and grawlixes swear words. If free mode, all inputs are polished. When working with a paid comic production, you can bypass polishing, and have total freedom to type your own text. In the prompt review modal, you can compare your original text with the polished version.

Why was my wording changed?

Polishing improves consistency and output quality. It can trim, rephrase, or standardise language while preserving your intent.

Can I use my original input as-is?

In Pro, yes. In free mode, polished input flow is enforced for all inputs.

5. Free vs Paid

Free Mode

  • Comics are public.
  • Prompt polishing is always applied.
  • No manual rerolls or response edits.
  • No custom avatar uploads.

Paid / Pro Mode

  • Private and unlisted visibility controls for comics.
  • Rerolls and manual editing tools.
  • Custom avatar/photo styling options.
  • Credit-based extras beyond included limits.

6. Managing Your Comics

Where do I edit titles, visibility, and archive status?

Use My Comics to search, filter, preview, retitle, archive/restore, and manage visibility on eligible comics.

Why can't I bulk edit some comics?

Free-generation comics are public-only, and moderated or archived items can also have restricted actions.

My comic is missing from public gallery

Default galllery inclusion is based on manual inclusion and aging and other criteria, however if you use the search or filter tools, so long as the comic is public and not archived or moderated, you should be able to find it. Note that if you are the owner of the comic you are looking for, it will appear in the search results even if it is unlisted or private. Remember that all the comics you have created, regardless of their visibility status, can be found and managed in the My Comics section.

7. Billing and Account Questions

Why am I in free mode when I expected paid mode?

Paid creation requires sufficient credits or an active paid session hold. If there are not enough credits at start time, create flow can fall back to free mode. If you are part way through a free creation and then aquire credits, you will have the option to convert that comic to paid mode and reroll or edit with Pro features before finalising the comic.

How do credits and holds work during creation?

For paid runs, credits are reserved when a session starts, then used as operations run. Canceling early releases unused reserved credits. Completion of the comic uses the reserved credits.

Where can I manage subscription and invoices?

Go to Billing & Subscriptions for plan and payment management. All subscriptions and credit packs are securely handled through Paddle, and you can view and manage your billing details, see past invoices, and update payment methods there using the link on the Billing & Subscriptions page. No payment details are stored on our system.

8. Merch Orders and Delivery Issues

Payment succeeded, but order status looks pending

The payment is securely processed by Stripe and during the processing the status will be Draft, and once the payment is confirmed it will move into the Awaiting Fulfillment status. It then moves to Submitted, and when the print on demand provider picks up the order for fulfillment it will update to In Production. After it is produced and shipped, the status will update to Shipped and tracking information will be added when available. Then after delivery, the status will update to Delivered.

I don't see tracking yet

Tracking appears after Shipped milestones. Use Account Orders to monitor status updates.

Can shipping timing be guaranteed?

Checkout shows an estimated range and risk level, but delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Why does the merchandise seem expensive?

Our merch is made to order rather than mass produced, so each piece is custom printed for that specific order. That means higher-quality materials, smaller print runs, and one-off production instead of bulk factory pricing.

Are taxes and import duties included?

Taxes are not charged directly in checkout and any customs duties/import taxes are your responsibility on delivery.

What if my merch order has defects or the wrong item?

Open the order in Merch Orders and submit a support case from the order page. Include photos and clear details for fastest resolution.

9. General Troubleshooting

  • Refresh the page once if a loading state appears stuck.
  • Sign out and sign back in if account data looks stale.
  • Confirm your email is verified if create flow is blocked.
  • For repeated errors, collect the page URL, approximate time, and comic/order ID before contacting support.
