Privacy Policy
Effective date: 28 February 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you use Ask The Squad.
1. Information We Collect
We collect account details you provide (for example email and display name), content you submit (such as prompts, responses, comics, and support requests), and operational data needed to run and secure the service (such as log data and request metadata).
2. How We Use Information
We use data to provide the service, authenticate users, process and moderate content, prevent abuse, support billing and order flows, troubleshoot incidents, and improve product reliability and user experience.
Marketing or newsletter emails are optional and only sent when you explicitly opt in. You can withdraw this permission from your profile settings at any time.
3. Billing and Payment Data
Subscriptions and credit packs are processed by Paddle. Physical merch checkout is processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on Ask The Squad systems.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use essential cookies for core functionality like authentication and security. Optional analytics and personalisation cookies are disabled by default and only enabled if you opt in.
You can manage these preferences at any time on the Cookie Preferences page.
5. Content Visibility
Content visibility is controlled by product settings such as public, unlisted, or private. Free-tier outputs are public-only. Paid users can use additional visibility controls, subject to moderation and policy enforcement.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
We share data with service providers only as needed to operate Ask The Squad (for example hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring, and fulfillment). We may disclose data when required by law or to protect users, rights, and platform security.
7. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce policies. Retention periods may vary by data type and legal requirements.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw optional cookie consent at any time.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect data, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Updates and Contact
We may update this policy from time to time. If you have privacy questions or requests, contact us via the contact page .
